Description

A teacher is also there near the headmaster. There are two teachers sitting at their desk. One teacher is reading a book, another is looking at us. On the floor, there is a big, old-fashioned dustbin. On the wall, there is a big clock. On the ceiling, a fan spins making a gentle humming sound. And on the floor, thereis a big, colourful carpet. Everything is exciting!

As we walk into ABC school office, I see a gentle person sitting behind a big desk. He is the head- master! He is smiling and looking very friendly.

PROFILE

Audrey Penn

The famous American children’s writer Audrey Penn was born on 4 May 1947 in the US. Her important works are The Kissing Hand, Happy apple told me, Blue Out of Season and A Pocket Full of Kisses, etc. She was awarded the Mid-State Library Association Award and the Award for Excellence in Educational Journalism. Now Penn resides in Maryland in the US.

Self introduction

Chester comes to the class and sits on the front bench. His teacher comes and introduces herself. She asks the students to introduce themselves. Chester stands up and introduces himself. Here is his self introduction.(Textbook Page: 19)

I’m very good at math and I always try to solve the problems correctly. I like to read books about animals and adventure stories. My favourite subject is English because I find it really interesting. I’m a bit shy, but I like making new friends and helping others.
