When a bill is endorsed by a drawing officer in favour of a messenger for its encashment, the procedure stipulated is :

the messenger should sign on the bill for receipt of money before the drawing officer

name of the messenger duly identified and his signature attested by the drawing officer on the bill itself

the drawing officer should note the name of the messenger in the bill
