What is the procedure to be adopted if a departmental officer finds that in spite of taking all possible steps some arrears of revenue still remain uncollected and he is satisfied that any portion of them is quite irrecoverable

to continue the process of demand notice till realisation of the dues

he should take immediate steps to obtain necessary sanction for the irrecoverable arrears to be written off

he should seek advice of his superior officials

to allow some more time for remittance of the dues
