{"id":2343,"date":"2025-01-20T12:53:42","date_gmt":"2025-01-20T12:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/departmentaltests.com\/?p=2343"},"modified":"2025-08-22T14:45:36","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T14:45:36","slug":"chapter-v-additions-to-pay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schoolpathram.in\/model-test\/chapter-v-additions-to-pay\/","title":{"rendered":"CHAPTER V- ADDITIONS TO PAY"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>CHAPTER V- ADDITIONS TO PAY<\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>COMPENSATORY ALLOWANCE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Compensatory Allowances<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.-<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Subject to the general rule that the amount of compensatory allowances should be so regulated that the allowance is not on the whole a source of profit to the recipient the Government may grant such allowances to any officer under its control and may make rules prescribing their amounts and the conditions under which they may be drawn. (For rules made under the above Rule See\u00a0 Appendix IV).<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Unless otherwise ordered by Government, a compensatory allowance shall ordinarily be drawn only by a Government servant actually on duty, but the authority competent to sanction leave may in writing permit it to be drawn by the officer\u00a0on earned leave, if the whole or a considerable part of the expense to meet which the allowance was granted continues to be incurred by him during the leave:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provided the Government Servant certifies that he continued for the period\u00a0 for which the allowance is claimed, to incur the whole or a considerable part\u00a0 of the expense for which the allowance was granted:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Provided further that the officer is due to return after leave to the same post or station, as the case may be from which he proceeded on leave or to a similar post or station for which the allowance at the same or a higher rate is admissible:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Provided further when the Government servant on return from leave is posted to a post other than the one from which he went on leave and both the posts carry similar allowances but at different rates, the Government servant shall during leave draw the lesser of the two rates<\/p>\n<p>(i) the authority sanctioning the transfer certifies that the Government servant is likely, on the expiry of the temporary duty, to return to the station from which he is transferred ;<\/p>\n<p>(ii) \u00a0the Government servant draws no allowance of the same kind in the post to which he is transferred;\u00a0and<\/p>\n<p>(iii)\u00a0 \u00a0the Government servant certifies that he kept his family, for the period for which the allowance is claimed, at the station from which he proceeded on transfer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0III.
